Camellia Japonica – April Remembered
Vigorous and perhaps one of the hardiest in the April Camellia Series, ‘April Remembered’ upright evergreen camellia is a noteworthy variety, sporting masses of large, fragrant, 4.5 –5 inch semi-double flowers with pink petals that darken towards the edge from the creamy colored centers surrounding golden-yellow stamens. The flowers provide a beautiful contrast against the gorgeous dark green foliage. Bloom time can extend over a long period through winter and mid spring, depending on the planting location.
With mature dimensions of on average 8 – 10 ft. tall and 6- 8 feet wide, as a shrub it is ideal for use as a hedge or background plant, in groupings, and is especially nice as espalier. It can also be used as a small tree.
Light Requirements: Part Shade to Full Shade, Filtered Sun.
