Camellia Japonica – Lady Clare
Growing 10 to 15 feet tall and 8 to 10 feet wide, in mid to late winter, Lady Clare Camellia produces showy large semi-double deep pink flowers against a backdrop of large, glossy, dark green leaves. The blooms ruffled petals resemble crêpe paper, and each bloom boasts a distinct and prominent column of golden-yellow stamens. Low maintenance and tolerant of heavy pruning it has many uses in the landscape as either a large shrub or in tree form and makes a lovely container plant.
