Eagle Claw – Acer Palmatum Dissectum
‘Washi no o’ translates to “Eagles Claw” is a slow-growing distinctive pendulous green laceleaf dissectum with a mounding form, green stems and striking down curved toothy leaves – hence the name eagle claw . This is a beautiful, elegant tree that has an amazing shape and tremendous fall color. It emerges in the spring with deep green divided leaves that lighten some over the summer to a brighter green then changing in the fall to a gorgeous golden-yellow, often hinted with tones of orange . Also known under the name ‘Palmatifidium’ this specimen is good for use as an accent, specimen, focal point, near water gardens, in containers and more.
