Skeeters Broom – Acer Palmatum
Derived from the popular, hardy, and dependable Bloodgood Skeeter’s Broom is an attractive and unique Japanese Maple with a statuesque, narrow, upright growth habit that holds its color very well. The leaves are a stunning rich bright red when first emerging in spring maturing to a rich deep purple red in summer and finally a bright brilliant scarlet in the fall. Red winter twigs add to its appeal making it a four-season colorful tree.
