Katsura – Acer Palmatum Green
The name ‘Katsura’ means wig and standing out boldly in the landscape it is a compact, dense, small-leafed cultivar with a graceful vase-shaped habit and lovely foliage color , season after season. Spring growth is striking developing to a pale-yellow orange with the margins shading into a brighter orange. As the season progresses they turn to a light, bright yellow green before turning brilliant shades of bright yellow and orange in the fall.
