Orange Flame – Acer Palmatum
A beautiful upright strong grower, with a seven deeply lobed dissectum leaf form and orange winter bark color on newer growth. Leafing out in the spring with foliage of rich chartreuse green and bronze overtones it matures to a solid green color with orange petioles later in the spring and throughout the summer. In the Fall, Orange Flame brightens the landscape when it turns a mirage of bright fiery orange with yellow highlights literally lighting up the landscape like a flame – hence the name Orange Flame. This maple is considered one of the best Japanese maples for fall color.
