Yama Kagi – Acer Japonicum
Yama Kagi Fullmoon Maple is a shapely large open multi-stemmed tree with a tall and wide ornamental globe-shaped form – a vigorous grower and striking figure in the garden landscape. Stunningly large, deeply lobed, and serrated leaves are lime-green in spring, darkening to a rich forest green in summer, and give a spectacular display of burnt orange-red in the fall. This maple is recommended for accent, mass plantings and general garden use landscape applications. Growing at a slow rate, under ideal conditions it can be expected to live to a ripe old age of 100 years or more.
