Crimson Prince – Acer Palmatum

Dense, upright , well branched Japanese Maple featuring fantastic dark purple foliage that emerges on almost black twigs and retains its color throughout much of the summer. That high pigmentation shows up in the new deeply colored branches, too. Its relatively fine texture sets it apart from other landscape plants with less refined foliage. Tiny green flowers are barely noticeable other than to beneficial pollinators. It is a great medium-sized accent tree for the smaller home landscape.
